2. Location Data

ChargeShield requires background location access to detect zone entries while the app is not in the foreground. This is the core function of the app.

• Location data is processed entirely on your device
• We do not transmit, store or sell your location data to any server or third party
• Location history is stored locally on your device only
• You can revoke location permission at any time in your device settings, though this will prevent the app from functioning

3. How We Use Your Data

• Email address — to send your Pro licence key and important service notifications
• Payment data — processed by Stripe to manage your subscription (we do not store card details)
• Location data — processed locally on your device to detect zone entries and trigger notifications

4. Third Party Services

We use the following trusted third party services:

• Stripe — payment processing (stripe.com/gb/privacy)
• Resend — transactional email delivery (resend.com/privacy)
• Firebase (Google) — push notification delivery (policies.google.com/privacy)
• Netlify — website hosting (netlify.com/privacy)

We do not sell your data to any third party for marketing purposes.

5. Data Retention

• Email address — retained while your account is active and for 12 months after cancellation
• Payment records — retained as required by law (typically 6 years for financial records)
• Location and journey data — stored on your device only; deleted when you uninstall the app
